Senior Executives of PetroChina Company Limited Visit Debo Energy to Explore Future of Biomass Gasification Technology
On April 22, 2025, a delegation of senior executives from PetroChina Company Limited conducted an in-depth inspection and exchange visit to Debo Research Institute, including its equipment manufacturing base, biomass-to-hydrogen production base, and operational sites of carbon-thermal cogeneration projects. The visit focused on exploring the latest advancements in biomass gasification technology and its broad prospects for industrial application.
During the meeting, Mr. Zhang Shoujun, Chairman of Debo, provided a comprehensive introduction to the core advantages of biomass gasification technology. As a clean and highly efficient energy conversion solution, biomass gasification can transform abundant biomass resources into high-quality gaseous fuels, offering a flexible and promising approach to optimizing energy structures and promoting environmental protection. The PetroChina delegation spoke highly of this technology and emphasized that biomass gasification would become a critical component of PetroChina's future energy strategy.
Subsequently, the delegation conducted a thorough on-site inspection spanning from manufacturing to real-world applications. At the equipment manufacturing base, they observed the sophisticated craftsmanship and stringent quality control of biomass gasification systems. At the biomass-to-hydrogen production facility, they gained insights into the innovative processes and technical features of hydrogen production via biomass gasification. At the carbon-thermal cogeneration project site, they witnessed firsthand the remarkable achievements of biomass gasification technology in enhancing energy efficiency and reducing environmental pollution.
The PetroChina executives expressed strong recognition of Debo's technological capabilities and demonstrated keen interest in deepening collaboration to jointly advance the R&D and application of biomass-based green chemical technologies.
