Debo Won the First Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress by China's Petroleum and Chemical Industry

On December 30, 2024, the 2024 China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation Science and Technology Awards Conference was held at the Beijing Conference Center.

The event was attended by distinguished guests including:

The conference honored the recipients of the 2024 Science and Technology Innovation Awards in China's petroleum and chemical industry, presenting certificates of recognition. Among the award-winning projects, the "Key Technologies and Applications for Short-Process Controlled Pyrolysis of Biomass to Produce High-Quality Liquid Fuels and Carbon Materials" stood out, earning the first prize for Scientific and Technological Progress. This groundbreaking project, jointly developed by Hefei Debo Bioenergy Technology Co., Ltd. and Southeast University, successfully addressed core challenges in biomass pyrolysis, including uncontrollable pyrolysis reactions, lengthy process routes, high energy consumption, and low product yields, laying a solid foundation for the industrial development of biomass energy.

The project established a controlled biomass pyrolysis technology based on effective hydrogen-carbon ratio regulation and pioneered a short-process, in-situ upgrading technology for pyrolysis oil vapor and biochar, achieving highly efficient utilization of biomass pyrolysis products. Additionally, it developed compact, integrated biomass pyrolysis gasification equipment and mobile pyrolysis units, creating a novel "distributed processing, centralized refining" model that effectively solves the challenges of biomass collection, storage, and transportation. These innovations not only enhance the efficiency of biomass energy production but also reduce costs, providing robust support for the widespread application of biomass energy.

The China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation Science and Technology Award is a nationally recognized industry accolade approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology. It aims to motivate scientists and engineers by honoring outstanding contributions to the petroleum and chemical industries. Highly authoritative within the sector, the award also qualifies recipients for national-level science and technology achievement awards.
