A Delegation of Officials from National Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and Anhui Provincial Governments Conducted An Inspection Visit to the Straw Gasification Project for Comprehensive Utilization Built by Debo
On October 26, 2024, a delegation of officials from National Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, as well as officials from Anhui Provincial Government, Hefei Municipality, and Feixi County, conducted an inspection and guidance visit to the straw gasification project for comprehensive utilization built by Hefei Debo Bioenergy Technology Co., Ltd. in Feixi County. The purpose of the visit was to gain a comprehensive understanding of the economic, environmental, and social benefits achieved by Debo in straw utilization, aiming to provide strong support for the resource utilization of agricultural waste and the development of the biomass energy industry in China.
Accompanied by Mr. Zhang Shoujun, Chairman of Debo Energy, the delegation reviewed the principles, applications, and technical processes of straw gasification technology. Zhang presented Debo’s research and industrial applications in straw gasification, including biomass gasification-based co-production of heat and power, biomass gasification coupling with coal-fired power plant, and the synthesis of natural gas, hydrogen, methanol, and sustainable aviation fuel. He also showcased Debo’s projects applied in clean heating, metallurgy, cement production, co-firing power generation, and the chemical industry.
During the meeting, Li Xiang, Director of the Energy and Ecology Division of the Department of Science, Technology, and Education at National Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, remarked, “Today’s on-site inspection of Debo’s straw gasification project was truly inspiring. Debo has developed a profitable operational model without relying on policy subsidies, successfully addressed the tar issue, and maintained an excellent on-site environment, setting an exemplary model for agricultural waste resource utilization and biomass energy development in China.” He encouraged Debo to continue increasing R&D investment, further advance biomass gasification technology, and contribute to China’s agricultural sustainability and ecological civilization.
